intense week.

1. Crazy gunman at the MCG. He was caught, don't freak out. But the thing I found entertaining was that immediately there was a police search for a "man of dark complexion and dark hair; of spanish or middle eastern appearance". That would all be ok but then I saw in the mX on Tuesday that in fact that gunman hadn't been a man of dark complexion at all! It was a little white boy previously convicted of petty theft etc.
   Australia: land of the racist. Good one.
2. Julia Gillard, PM. Despite the fact that her name can't be shortened to something as catchy as 'KRudd' (Kevin Rudd, former Prime Minister); I'm really excited and interested to see what she does. First woman. I have many frustrations with regard to the Generation Y attitude to politics in Australia; I won't go into it here. Just thinking about it makes me want to go all Incredible Hulk on yo' ass. 
3. End of Term 2. A term ending has never come so slowly. I genuinely thought I was going to lose my sanity before Term 2 ended.

Lame blog post is lame; sorry guys. I'm really sleepy. Despite what it may sound like, I am REALLY REALLY SUPER OVER EXCITED about J.Gill ruling the country. I like her. As politicians go, she's ok.

you put my head in such a flurry

i must apologise again for being absent. chorals is eating my life. its over tomorrow night, i don't know what i'll do then! maybe do homework? study?
either way i'm incredibly excited and unbelievably sad that this is coming to an end. i am going to miss the girls so much and i hope that they all, especially the ones who aren't in year 12, will still come and talk to me and such ( i know some of you read this!)

also, its my birthday soon! i'll be 18 and all the wonders of nightlife will be mine. to be honest i'm just too lazy to go about getting an ID any other way than  by right of age.

in other news, its a month since Michelle passed away today. Weird.

chorals actually makes my life complete.

today we had a full cast run through with orchestra with all the songs and it was quite simply mindblowing.
I attempted to document the day a little; through my mad wicked photography skillz.

First we trekked through the bush of Macleod, because the house that hikes together wins Chorals...together.

I feel sorry for the girl carrying the cello....

This is but a small sample of the food we ate. It was intense; I have never seen so much bread and chocolate present except at a bread and chocolate factory. Needless to say, everybody was well fed.

Some members of my cast ♥. I'm not going to deny it; cast are my fave. They're all so hardworking and eager and so easy to work with!

I'm super excited for chorals. For anyone who doesn't understand my crazy ramblings thus far; chorals is a house event conducted by my school each year where each house writes, directs and conducts a 20 minute musical and this year Dryads are going to win. Today was the first time we got most of the cast together with orchestra and the songs sound amaaaaaaaaaazing.

as of late

inspiration has made me reconsider the direction i'm taking here. I feel this more becoming an actual blog than just a list of things i like; which is ok with me.

so we didn't win swimming today; but we definitely won most enthusiasm..thanks to the year 12s, 11s, some 10s and literally 2 year 9s.

I'm in love with the second one. Both prices are in USD though, and way out of my price range for swimsuits I'll probably be too afraid to wear into water. They come from here if you have a larger budget than me.

Happy shopping! Also, might I suggest that wherever you are, if you're in school and your school has a "house" system; get involved. Its taken me way too long and now I will only have had 2 years of spending so much time with the amazing girls. It really is the best thing ever. Just go for it.

Teenage Celebrities

I'm always interested in the rich and famous' "embarrassing" teenage photos, but judging by Courtney Cox-Arquette and Gwyneth Paltrow, they have nothing to be embarrassed about.

Courtney has really beautiful eyes which I never noticed before, and her hair is indeed somewhat akin to my own. She looks really sweet, I'm really jealous.

Oh my god though, Oh. My. God. she's a stunner. I had honestly never considered Gwyneth Paltrow that attractive but here; maybe it's the grainy photograph that gives it a cool rockstar vibe; but she looks incredible. Definitely "the girl most likely" to have everyone want to be her friend.

I just pray that one day when I'm rich and famous nobody will go looking for my high school photos. That could be awkward. I better start taking nice pictures...
